By BL4NK Market · 2026-10-27

Anime Adventures is one of the biggest tower defense games Roblox has ever had. It survived a shutdown, came back stronger, and now, in October 2026, the developer has dropped a trailer for its next big update: Heaven's Storm. Here's what that means for your team.

Here's everything you need to know, from Update 21 to the units, traits and systems that keep players grinding.

What Is Anime Adventures?

Anime Adventures is a Roblox tower defense game made by Gomu. Heroes and villains from different anime-inspired worlds collide, and your job is to place and upgrade units on the map to stop waves of enemies from reaching the end.

You earn Yen during each match by defeating enemies, clearing waves and running farm units. Yen pays for placing and upgrading your units. Between matches, you spend Gems on summons to unlock new characters for your team.

Heaven's Storm: What's Next for Anime Adventures

Anime Adventures has had a wild ride:

• 2023: The game was set to private after a DMCA takedown over its anime assets.

• December 2024: Anime Adventures came back with a holiday update and returned to Roblox.

• 2025: New content kept coming, including Assassin Park, Shibuya with dungeons, and an April Fool's event.

• October 19, 2026: Gomu released a trailer for Update 21: Heaven's Storm, marked "coming soon."

The game is live and playable right now. Heaven's Storm doesn't have an official release date yet, and creators are already sharing possible new units, but nothing has been confirmed by the developer.

Our advice: join the official Anime Adventures Discord and turn on notifications. That's where the Update 21 release date will drop first.

Game Modes

There's a lot to grind in Anime Adventures:

• Story: The main mode, set across anime-inspired worlds. Each level gives Gems, XP and items, plus bonus Gems the first time you clear it.

• Challenges: Harder versions of story acts with better rewards.

• Infinite: Endless waves that keep getting harder. Perfect for testing your strongest team.

• Raids: Co-op boss fights in Normal, Hard and Extreme difficulty.

• Legend Stages: Unlocked after finishing a story world. They drop evolution materials.

• Dungeons and Infinity Castle: Extra modes with Gem rewards and seasonal ranks.

Gems are the big one. Summons can pull Rare, Epic, Legendary or Mythic units, and the banner rotates every hour, so having Gems saved up when the right unit shows up is huge.

Units, Evolutions and Shiny Units

Every unit has its own role. Some deal area damage, some have long range, some stun, slow or buff your other units, and some just make you money.

Evolutions turn a regular unit into a much stronger version. Evolving usually takes Star Fruits, shards and other materials, and some items come from crafting or the Traveling Merchant. Evolved units are some of the most valuable things in the game.

Shiny units are rare versions with a different look. They don't get extra stats, but collectors and traders love them, which is why shiny units often trade for more than the normal version.

Community tier lists for Update 21 currently rank units like Illusionist, Vengeful Swordsman, Ghost-kun and Supreme Being near the top. Since the update isn't officially out yet, expect these rankings to shift.

Traits: The Secret to a Stronger Team

Traits are extra buffs that can land on a unit, and the best ones can completely change how strong a unit is. You roll traits at Whis, the NPC near the Evolve area in the lobby, using Star Remnants or Reroll Tokens.

Some of the most wanted traits:

• Unique: The strongest trait. Boosts damage and range and speeds up attacks. Only one unit on your team can have it.

• Divine: Big damage boost with faster ability cooldowns and extra range.

• Golden: More Yen and damage, plus a golden look. Great on farm units.

• Reaper: Extra damage against bosses. Strong for raids.

• Celestial: More damage and range, plus true damage that ignores enemy defense.

The catch? These traits have drop rates well under 1%. That's why trait rerolls are so valuable.

Beginner Tips

1. Redeem codes right away. Free rewards early means more summons.

2. Watch your placement. Only hill units and hybrid units can hit flying enemies.

3. Feed your extra units to level up the ones you actually use.

4. Evolve before you reroll. Evolve a unit into its stronger form first, then spend rerolls on it.

5. Save Star Remnants for the units you plan to use for a long time.
